Sepak Takraw

Sepak Takraw

A well-liked sport in Southeast Asia, this game takes after volleyball but instead of hands, players use their knees, chest, head, and feet to move the ball around, which is constructed of soft wood. The International Sepak Takraw Federation has competitions with teams from more than hundreds of various countries.

Tuna Tossing

This sport started in Australia in Port Lincoln. It was motivated by the local fishermen who would toss fish onto their trucks and began being used as a way to liven up a local festival. The winner is the one who can throw a 20-pound fish the furthest. Today, the competition has become cleaner: rubber fishes are used instead.

Toe Wrestling

This sport is like arm wrestling with players trying to pin down their opponent’s toes for three seconds. Players play with their bare feet interchanging between their left and right feet and play the best of three rounds. There are separate divisions for men and women.

Chess Boxing

Chess Boxing

This questionable combination of sports includes brawn and brains. Competitors play alternating rounds of boxing and chess for three minutes each. This little-known sport has fans in India, Russia, the UK, and Germany.

Man vs. Horse Marathon

This marathon started as a way to resolve a pub argument when Welsh locals pondered who would win a marathon: a man or a horse. Ever since then, a yearly marathon is held in Welsh Town, Wales with both horses running and men. Men have won on two occasions, but it is usually the horses that come out on top. If a human wins, they can win a cash prize.
